WIP Caps recollect the simple joys and the maiden sense of independence, celebrating the beginning stages of any journey grounded on passion and optimism for what’s to come. The local headwear staple unveils its “Buena Mano” collection through a free-size Poly-Wool fabric snapback (S/B) and four “WIPCAPS” Tees in white, brown, and navy blue colorways.
Translating to “good hand” in Spanish, Buena Mano refers to the evergreen Filipino belief of brushing over the day’s first transaction, hoping to bring good luck and prosperity.
Regardless of the first win or loss of the day, the February capsule focuses on the unseen—the countless hours invested, the thoughts, and the preparation needed to achieve that first sale. During these preliminary stages, a routine comes to fruition, bringing meaning and fortifying the “why” in which efforts are exhausted.
The WIP Caps’ “Buena Mano” apparel line features a two-sided print on a 100 percent cotton fabric, mainly ushered through two designs.
Its “White” and “Navy Blue” tees consist of subtle WIP Caps branding on its left chest with the 2008-established nook’s address on its rear.
The “Brown” and “White” pieces, on the other hand, exhibit thorn-inspired branding, tributing Albrecht Dürer’s “Praying Hands/Study of the Hands of an Apostle (Studie zu den Händen eines Apostels)” pen-and-ink work as an ode to gratuitousness and a reminder of blessings received and the growth to come.
WIP Caps’ “Buena Mano” is now available in-store and online through the WIP Caps’ website.
